The following genealogy files show the basic information about the Healy & Gockstetter families of Boggs Run, as well as some of the related families of Mehling, Sustarsic, Morris, etc.

The Gockstetter family was quite large and they owned substantial tracts of land on Boggs Run, mainly from the location of the school, down to Brown's Run. No attempt is being made here to sort out the various deed transfers.

SUSTARSIC

I need pictures of the houses that used to be here....

This is the former location of the home built by August Frederick and Caroline (Juergens) Gockstetter. Next door was the house that belonged to their daughter and son-in-law, Mary Louise and John Healy. The Healys eventually moved to the August and Caroline Gockstetter house, and their home became the residence of their daughter, Mildred Healy, and her husband, Victor Sustarsic. According to Renee Sustarsic Hammond, the two houses shared a yard and a garage. [Is this paragraph correct?]

Wilfred Myers states that Bernard "Pete" Showalter also lived on that hill for an unknown period of time. [How many houses were up there?]

GOCKSTETTER

This house is just down from Boggs Run School and was probably originally owned by August Leonard Gockstetter (1891-1964) and his wife Nettie Fowler. The land and/or the house might have even been owned by his father, August Frederick Gockstetter (1863-1943). [If you know, please write.] It was later owned by John Louis Gockstetter (1918-1999) and his wife, Geraldine "Gerry" Warsinsky.
